Scout
The Walking Water Tower

Meet Scout, the walking water tower, and one of the Doodle Art Alley Mascots. Take a minute and read his story below. After learning all about him, enjoy some activities and coloring fun that feature this cute little guy.

This doodle mascot was raised in a small town of mostly farmers where his use as a water tower was greatly appreciated in the dry seasons. It was a nice town, but it was boring. When the town put up a drive-in theater across the street from him, Scout was fascinated by the movies up on the big screen. “That’s going to be me one day!” he said. But he was stuck firmly in the earth. Day and night he worked on tilting from side to side to uproot his feet, until one day he broke free, spilling water on the astonished townsfolk below him. Eventually he walked all the way to Los Angeles where he got a job as a stuntman in movies with conveniently falling water towers, and occasionally as a UFO.

I think everybody will enjoy my pictures, from small children to the young at heart. My drawings allow creativity, and freedom with color and patterns. It's also a change from the standard "puppy" or "bunny" page that is most often found on the internet. These really lend themselves to the older group of children that might find coloring too "childish".

If you have any suggestions or requests feel free to contact me. I may not draw up everything you suggest, but I will sure give it a try! I'm always looking for new and unique ideas. Also, feel free to suggest some ideas for future Coloring Art E-Books and Coloring Art Posters! Sometimes my creativeness can get exhausted! It's always great to hear from you and get your feedback, since you guys are the reason I am doing this! Your positive comments keep me motivated and moving forward.
